Princeton University students visited Newark Boys Chorus School on January 26, 2023 through a partnership created in 2020 connecting the University’s Teacher Preparation Department and NBCS. Students from both institutions had the opportunity to share their learning on pertinent topics including language arts, social justice, and cutting-edge pedagogy. Discussions also focused on the importance of DEI topics and the uniqueness of single gender education at NBCS.
The visit concluded with a thrilling performance by the NBCS Concert Chorus after which the room exploded with excitement and promises to return. NBCS looks forward to growing this valuable partnership especially focusing on urban education and the cultural richness our students live each day!
