SUMMER BLAST FOR NBCS
SUMMER BLAST FOR NBCS
July, 2018. “What a great way to enjoy the summer, meet some new friends and support the Newark Boys Chorus School," commented Jerome Kearns, Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) Chair and event organizer. Kearns and Jason McNish spearheaded the event which attracted over 80 guests and raised over $5,000 to support the school and seed future events. Redd’s Biergarten hosted the event in downtown Newark. When Co-owner, Dan Palsi was approached by members of the YPAB he thought it was a great idea and a good way for his new restaurant to become part of the fabric of Newark. Palsi, his restaurant vendors and friends contributed door prizes and raffle items to add to the evening’s festivities. “It was great to see so many young people having a good time and supporting our school” reflected Donald Morris, NBCS Music Director.
"We plan to hold several more events during the year; we'll invite our guests from our Redd's Biergarten party to visit the school in October to learn more about the the great programs we have for our kids," concluded Kearns.
