NBCS Announces 2-Part Rainbow Gala

NBCS Announces Two - Part Rainbow Gala

Part 1 will be virtual!

Dear Friends of Newark Boys Chorus School (NBCS):

NBCS urgently needs your help.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause us to meet unexpected challenges. In light of CDC Guidelines and counsel from our public health officials, the Newark Boys Chorus School’s 45th Annual Rainbow Gala is going virtual!

The 45th Annual Rainbow Gala, scheduled for April 28, 2020 is our most important fundraising event of the year. The Annual Gala has represented 30% of our annual fundraising, generating up to $400,000 in revenue. We need this revenue to keep our doors open. Without it, NBCS cannot survive.

We are, therefore, doubling our efforts by inviting you to our “Two Part” Rainbow Gala.

1. Part I The Virtual “Over The Rainbow Gala Event” April 28, 2020 at 7:00 P.M.

This is an exclusive online event just for our Rainbow supporters and sponsors.

2. Part II The In Person 45th Annual Rainbow Gala tentatively slated for late June contingent upon public health policy.

The Newark Boys Chorus School is committed to meeting the current challenges as we inspire excellence in academics and music. We need your generosity to ensure that we continue to fulfill this mission.

Like many businesses and institutions, NBCS has been severely challenged by the COVID- 19 crisis. NBCS is completely tuition free and exists because of the generosity of donors like you. We are therefore reaching out to our loyal supporters and asking them to maintain, or even exceed, their prior level of financial support. We need you to provide us with the funds to continue our 50+ year history of producing outstanding young men. Young men like Che Darden who is a freshman at the Church Farm School, a prestigious boarding school in Pennsylvania. And young men like Nicholas Wiggins, a Social Justice Advocate and Senior Consultant at Value Partnerships.

We hope you agree that our community cannot allow the current circumstances to risk the end of the only urban-based, independent boys chorus school in the US. So please buy your tickets and submit your journal ads and sponsorships by April 15, 2020. The students, staff and administrators of NBCS are counting on you to pull us through.

Warm Regards,

P.s. By supporting NBCS you are transforming the lives of deserving young men.
