The 2022 NBCS Rainbow Gala was an Incredible Event!
On May 31st, friends and supporters of the Newark Boys Chorus School gathered at
Nanina’s in the Park
to celebrate a wonderful year of music-making and learning by our students. Honorees included Mayor Ras Baraka, Newark Native, Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver, Ms. Rupal Shah from PGIM Fixed Income, and US Attorney for NJ, Ms. Rachael Honig.
The NBCS Concert Chorus gave an inspired performance and our guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal prepared by the chefs at Nanina’s. The above picture depicts the Chorus performing Circle of Life, which included masks and was choreographed by Mr. Rufus Bonds Jr., Director in Residence of The Lion King on Broadway.
This 47th Annual Rainbow Gala was an exciting continuation of the Concert Chorus’ Spring performance season and a bon voyage for our boys as they set out on their concert tour of Hawaii and Los Angeles.
