The Annual NBCS Event was a Smashing Success!

People gathered, friends hugged and exchanged stories, the NBCS Concert Chorus sang, and the crowd at Nanina’s in the Park welcomed each other.

After 2 years of virtual events, attendees celebrated being at an in-person breakfast.

The Lawyers Leading the Way breakfast is a longstanding tradition each Spring at which friends of NBCS come to support the work of the school. This year was particularly exciting as we celebrated the retirement of Linda Willett, a longtime caretaker of NBCS and the General Counsel of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ. Linda’s energy and focus brought this group together many years ago and the event is one of Horizon’s many activities to support NBCS.

Our most sincere thanks go out to the many firms that attended and especially to the event hosts including Zenola Harper, Jason McNish, and Jerome Kearns. A special thanks to our Keynote Speaker, Ms. Jennifer Velez, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Horizon for her warmth and words of inspiration.
